A rare midcentury letter opener in the shape of a stylised narwhal, designed and made by Richard Rohac, circa 1950. Featured in Rohac's catalogue of work and bears the mark "rivex" to the reverse.
A beautiful example of postwar metalwork, this beautiful object captures both the sleek lines and figurative form of the narwhal whilst remaining true to the essence of mid-century modern design style.
