An exquisitely hand painted late Qing Dynasty (late 1800s to early 1900s) Chinese bowl. Made and fired in a folk kiln, these bowls were made and used by villagers and were humble pieces, bearing the initials or surname of the family who owned them, so that they could be easily returned after village feasts.

This particular bowl bears two marks, visible on the inside of the bowl, meaning it likely passed on from one family to another, spanning across multiple lifetimes. A beautiful piece of folk history, lovingly hand painted by the people that used it, now a treasured piece of art.

Approximate dimensions: 6cm high x 15cm diameter

Please note this is a vintage item and as such will feature small imperfections, all of which are inherent to its charm and character.
