A beautifully hand painted vintage blue and white ceramic vase in a distinctly Chinese style, though suspected to be a Western made piece. Gorgeous painterly brush strokes give this pretty pot a vibrancy that sings, especially when filled with fresh summer blooms.
Signed "NT 2002" to the base.
Originally part of a large studio pottery chess set by the late Cornish artist Richard Tindale, this charming chess knight now serves as a wonderfully decorative pottery piece. Hand modelled from red earthenware and finished with a rustic off-white glaze, it is a tactile and visually interesting objet d'art. A jewel in a studio pottery collection.
Approximate dimensions: 19cm high x 16cm wide
Please note this is a vintage item and as such will feature small imperfections, all of which are inherent to its charm and character.
