Vintage terracotta candleholder with blue and cream slip glaze

Vintage terracotta candleholder featuring both an abstract and painterly blue slip design over a cream ground. The candle holder at the centre is pleasingly and unusually orb-like, delicately painted with undulating swirls.

Stamped "JG" to the base, this is one seriously special piece of pottery.
